Spees Family: Friends Galore!

We have had lots of fun with out of town friends over the past few weeks. Our friend Ms. Mary Ellen, Max, and Mary Jane were here week before last and we had a fun filled day of play with them.

Then we packed up for our trip to Charlotte. We visited Ms. Jenn, Mr. Ben, Addie and Emily Jane there. What a beautiful city! We also got to see our friend (Kathryn) from Jackson Hole during our visit. It was such a good time. Silas was a good traveler considering no nap on the way there. We had so many nice people who helped me out and visited with Silas along the way. Ms. Jenn and Addie picked us up from the airport in the pouring rain. Thankfully it stopped pretty quick! We played and went to a pro golf tournament (and saw Tiger Woods play) on Sunday. Monday we went to the gym while Addie was at nursery school and Silas and EJ played. Tuesday we went to the nature museum and saw lots of neat animals. Silas, Addie and Emily Jane touched a snake and we saw him shed his skin. Yucky! That night Jenn and I met Kathryn for dinner at a cute little Mexican restaurant for Cinco De Mayo. Silas stayed with his very first babysitter (Ms. Val) that night! He did so well and didn't want to come to me when we got home! Ms. Val was a perfect first non-family babysitter to have :-) She is the sweetest lady. Wednesday we took Emily Jane and Silas swimming while Addie was at school. That was interesting ;-) Silas didn't want me to hold him... He kept dunking his face in the water and choking. Yikes! We have some work to do this summer. When Addie got home from school and the little ones woke up from naps we took off for the pet store. It was so cool! There were animals galore and you could touch most of them. We were there for at least an hour and had so much fun. We also played outside on bikes, etc during our visit. Jenn and Ben live on the best little quiet (and flat) street just right for kids on bikes! It was a good time all around. Thursday morning we took off for home. We were delayed in Memphis for a while and I was pretty wiped out, but again nice people helped me out just in the nick of time. Such a blessing! We finally made it home around 4:30 that afternoon and Jason had a clean house and dinner waiting for us! What a treat :-) Here are some pictures from our week!
