Well, we had a wonderful trip to Dauphin Island last week. It was a cool week, but we still had several nice days on the beach. Silas was the best little traveler! We hit the road early on Saturday morning and made it there by early afternoon. Silas slept off and on in the car and didn't cry once! Can you believe it?!? Anyway, we rode bikes, took wagon rides to the park, played basketball, went to the beach, Jason and Taylor flew kites, rode the ferry to Gulf Shores and went to the outlet mall, rode around the island in the jeep and swam in the pool. Silas loved picking up seashells and washing them off in our bucket of water at the beach. He also loved pouring the water on himself :-) He thoroughly enjoyed swimming with anyone who could hold on to him in the pool (which is quite a challenge). It was a fun and relaxing week. On Wednesday Mary Ellen (my good friend from LR who now lives in Mississippi) came down for the day with her kiddo's. Max is 4 and Mary Jane is 2. They are so sweet and easy to have around. We played most of the day in the pool and Max showed off his swimming abilities. We had so much fun!
Some of Silas' funny sayings from the week were:
changing Uncle Tay to just Uncle which sounds like Uggle
referring to himself as Silas. He loves saying "and Silas!"
"I like it" which means he does not like it
"I dood it"
It is fun (and funny) to hear how he puts words together now! Here are some pics from our week away.

Our drive off of the island... Yikes!
