Summa, Summa, Summertime!

It is HOT here! We have officially welcomed summer to the south. It hasn't slowed us down any (or at least Silas). His sleep times have gotten better which has given us more play time. He is now napping around 12:30, which is so nice b/c we have met friends at the park, run errands and gone on long walks with Pibby without me trying to keep him up on the way home. Bedtime has been bumped to 7:30 and that has given us more playtime in the afternoons and later dinners, so it's been more fun in many aspects! Silas still gets in a good 3 hour nap, but he's ready to go when he wakes up. He now talks from the time he opens his eyes until he hits the bed at night. He says things like: "Mom (yes he calls me mom sometimes), uh doing?", "I ride it, I dood it, I like it (which means he doesn't like it), dickous (ridiculous which was picked up from Pibby), I pay (play), cyycle (motorcycles and trikes- he is scared of motorcycles), noisy (he's not a fan of most things that are noisy), chuldrun (children), and many other funny things. He is so lovey now. He really likes to "suggle" with us to read books before bed. He also likes to "suggle" in the morning too. Daddy makes him "caycakes" for "breckast" every Saturday morning. He loves them!

He has gotten a little picky now. Veggies are a hard one right now. He will eat baby food veggies, but not the solids. He thinks all meat is chicken, but he will eat it, so that is good. He still loves all fruit and calls blueberries booties and strawberries tubbies. Bananas are nanas, oh and he still loves avocado (cado), so I'm not complaining :-)

We have just put a baby pool in our backyard and we play in it almost every afternoon. It has a slide and Silas likes to go down it head first! Yikes! It's almost better for us just to hang out at our pool b/c it's a little safer (and less tiring for us) right now :-)

We have also been talking about the potty lots lately. We sit on the potty and Silas has been a bee bow and tee tee'd in the potty! We still have a LONG way to go, but he is getting more interested. We will see how it goes!

Life is good here with our funny little guy!
