Funny Man :-)

Well, it's time for me to do some serious updating. I have several new videos that we have taken over the past week or so and many new pics. Silas is now 18 months. Time flies!!!! We went to our 18 month check up last week and he now weighs 28 pounds and is 34 inches long. His noggin' is still off the charts, but the fontinel is almost fully closed and that will halt the growth. The doctor is not concerned. It seems to be a familial thing... I have an enormous head too :-) and come to find out Jason (who loves teasing me) has a rather large head as well. In other words, Silas didn't stand a chance :-) I know you can't really tell in pictures, but Silas is actually growing hair! It is coming in very light (strawberry blonde) and from the crown. In wind he looks like he has a comb-forward!

He is such a little ham right now. He gets really excited and makes the funniest faces. We got some pics of him really acting silly with Jason the other night. They were playing with an empty Cheerio box. Look below for full documentation :-) One of his new things to say that I think is hilarious is big boy. He is all about climbing and taking big steps on his own and when he does this he says "bee bo". We will say, yes you are such a big boy and he will smile and say "bee bo".

Last weekend he spent Friday afternoon-Sunday morning with Pibby and Pops while Jason and I went on a retreat with our SS Class. We got a full report of their fun when we returned. They had a very busy day Saturday. Silas loves feeding the fish at their house, so they started they day with that after breakfast and then went to the bird store for a new feeder. While they were out Silas fell sound asleep in the car, so that was his nap for the day. He played hard and ate lunch and then they went to the park where he showed Pops all of his bee bo moves on the playground equipment. He got moving so fast that he tumbled down the tunnel slide and landed in Pibby's lap. Pibby said it slowed him down, but didn't stop him. Yikes! He is a tuff nutt... After that they took him to buy some new shoes. He LOVES shoes of all kind. He got some Wall-E crocs and was very excited to show them to us when we returned. That night he ate Mexican food and was hamming it up at the restaurant. Pibby and Pops said he had all of the servers looking at him and trying to make him laugh. They said no one could walk by without him waving and saying "hi". Their plan was to take him to church with them on Sunday, but with the time change and lack of nap the day before he slept until 9:00! I think they had a fun time with him.

Now we are counting down to our next visit from Grandma and Grandpa. Jason has a play gym in pieces in the backyard that he needs help constructing! Grandpa is skilled in taking apart and putting back together all kinds of things, so Jason is looking forward to his help :-) Silas says "Grandma" and "Grandpa" now and I have attempted to video him saying it. This morning I caught "Grandpa". It is one of the videos below. Enjoy the new pics!
