This past weekend Jason went to a wedding in Wisconsin for a childhood friend. It was our first time alone for an extended period of time. My dad was gone on Thursday night and I had bible study, so we decided to spend the night with Pibby. It was fun for us to be there over night. Friday Mom decided that she needed something to contain Silas with at her house. He is at their house quite a bit, so it would be helpful to them to not have to chase him the entire time. We took a trip to Babies 'R Us and Mom purchased an Exersaucer (aka Baby Command Center). It took Silas' entire 2 hour nap for 3 adults (Mom, Dad and I) and an electric screwdriver to put the dang thing together. Silas LOVES it though. It was well worth the time and slight frustration during his nap to see his face light up when he saw it.
Jason got home yesterday afternoon earlier than we had thought. Silas and I barely had time to change from our church clothes and off we went to pick up Jason. He was so excited to see his daddy, and Jason was grinning ear to ear when we pulled up. Babies make everything fun :-)! We came home and Jason blew up Silas' new baby pool for the backyard. He seems to really like it. I will have to take a few pictures of him in the pool when I have time. We had Jason's strawberry shortcake last night for dinner at Mom and Dad's. Sarah and Taylor came in from a Fayetteville wedding and Grandmama was here too, so we decided on a last minute family dinner. It was a fun weekend and we are glad Jason is back.
